Just taking into consideration the number of concluded agreements on municipality cooperation following the local elections last year, one can predict that interest to intermunicipal cooperation will go on growing. In its turn, it will facilitate the necessity of finding out additionally both the content of such cooperation and real opportunities of municipality development under the current conditions, as well as of local self-government officials’ place and role in its organisation.
