«Certain aspects of communal property management: potential law amendments, problem issues» have been discussed at the press-centre of the Ukraine Crisis Media Centre.
The event was organized by the DOBRE USAID Programme jointly with the Ukraine Crisis Media Centre.
Brian Kemple, the head of the USAID DOBRE Programme:
"We are working with municipalities in various directions to help them cope with new opportunities, brought by decentralisation. An important trend of DOBRE is to assist municipalities in enhancing the efficiency of the communal property and their assets management. DOBRE conducts trainings on mechanisms of more efficient asset management, assists in establishing registers, defining communal property on the territory, as well as in developing a plan and a programme of using and improving the property management. As municipalities obtain the ownership of facilities from rayon and state bodies, a lot of question arise".
