A new initiative – a network of Safety Cenres, combining a police station and a centre of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine – is being tested in some regions of Ukraine. The Ministry of Internal Affairs plans to enlarge the number of such Centres and to involve service centres to their work. It will simplify the application procedure or citizens. Totally 31 Safety Centres have been established in the country, with most of them being located in the Donetsk oblast. Bu the end of the year, jointly with municipalities, the Ministry will have created 5 Centres more. It was claimed by the Minister of Internal Affairs Denys Monastyrskyi during a meeting with government members and local self-government representatives.
