Any municipality can be the founder of a lyceum – the Verkhovna Rada has passed the law

On July, 15, 2021, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in the second reading the law on amending some laws of Ukraine on improving mechanisms of forming a chain of lyceums for the purpose of introducing a quality specialized secondary education (bill №4621-1).

«The law enhances the legal regulation of lyceum functioning and improves the transition period for transforming an educational establishment chain that will assist in efficiently starting a three-year specialized secondary education within the reform “New Ukrainian School”. The Ministry supports the amendments and we are grateful to people’s deputies of Ukraine for their support», – claimed the Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet.
