During a working trip to the Khmelnytskyi oblast the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi participated in the meeting of Chamber of Local Authorities of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President.

According to the President, the Congress is an important forum for the central authorities to cooperate with local municipalities, which is to help in solving urgent problems of the regions.

The President claimed that the first stage of the local self-government basic level reform had been completed in Ukraine.

«Large-scale work at the regional and sub-regional levels is ahead. We are to undergo a complicated process of amending the Constitution of Ukraine in terms of the administrative and territorial arrangement, amending the Ukrainian legislation on the local self-government, as well as the Budget Code of Ukraine», – said Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
