An approach to solving problems of water resources and the population provision with quality drinking water must be complex and local self-government is responsible for the water quality, provided to people on the hromada territory.

It was highlighted by Oleksiy Danilov, the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, during a meeting of the water resources and quality drinking water provision working group.

«All water facilities must have a proprietor – no matter if it is a local self-government body or a public institution, responsible for the proper maintenance of such facilities», - claimed the secretary of the NSDC, adding that the Law on the land decentralization, signed yesterday by the President of Ukraine, provides all opportunities for it.
