From January, 1, 2021, educational establishments and institutions, having been funded from the rayon level, are transferred to territorial hromadas. It doesn’t depend on willingness or unwillingness of rayon councils, transferring the establishments or hromadas, having to accept them. It is envisaged by the legislation. The MinRegion jointly with the Ministry of Education and Science and oblast state administrations have to support the local councils permanently and efficiently on the issue.

It was claimed by Vyacheslav Nehoda, Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, during the online-meeting, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and dedicated to issues of concern about functioning of local education management bodies and their founders under the administrative and territorial reform conditions.
