The MinRegion: rayons and hromadas cannot waste time with property transfer-acceptance

Property is currently being transferred from the rayon level to the hromada communal ownership in the regions. It is caused by amendments in the administrative and territorial arrangement and power decentralisation: most authorities and resources have been transferred from rayon councils and rayon state administrations to the hromada level.

The situation has been clarified today at the joint meeting of the MinRegion, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Information Policy, as well as oblast state administrations and local self-government bodies associations.

According to Vyacheslav Nehoda, Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, the main focus is that property must be transferred to hromada ownership by January, 1, 2021.
