According to the standards of the Budget Code of Ukraine (the amendments made in 2020 having been taken into account), middle-term budget planning is introduced since 2021 at the local level.

Experts of the project «The EU for enhancing the local governments state financial systems», funded by the EU, have prepared the training module «Forecasting the local budget: theory and practical issues», placed at the Prometheus mass open online-courses platform.

The training module consists of a theoretical and a practical part.

The theoretical part covers issues of the legislative regulation of the middle-term planning at the local level and its advantages; peculiarities of forecasting the local budget and the budget process participants' functions and powers.
