In the 145-th issue of the programme «Decentralisation. News Digest», created with support from the Swiss-Ukrainian Project “Decentralisation Support in Ukraine” (DESPRO) the Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov commented on the resolution on rayons formation and liquidation.

«Of course, around the issue of new rayons formation there are a lot of myths and rumours concerning hromadas being allegedly deprived of resources and concerning services being provided with certain limitations due to remoteness. All of them are fakes and nothing but myths», - claimed Oleksiy Chernyshov.

«The government supports the bill on amendments to the Budget Code in terms of harmonizing the budget legislation provisions. The essential resources will come to the local self-government budgets. As for the services, no deterioration is planned. Just on the contrary, powerful amalgamated hromadas will provide services of high quality», - said Oleksiy Chernyshov.
