The 133-th issue of the «Decentralisation. News Digest» programme, created with support of Swiss-Ukrainian Project “Decentralisation Support in Ukraine” (DESPRO) is dedicated to the following: any hints to "special statuses" will disappear from the final draft of the Constitution amendments in terms of decentralisation, whereas prefect supervisory functions, frightening mayors so much, will be revised.
Oleksandr Kornienko, the party of power head, explains: the idea is for the local self-government to function on two levels — a hromada and an oblast but not on the rayon level anymore, that being a consensus of all the discussion participants.
