Not just Constitutional amendments in terms of decentralisation have been discussed in Chernivtsi today. Representatives of certain village councils, having failed to dare for changes within a 5-year period of hromada voluntary amalgamation, came to Chernivtsi to demand perspective plan changes of configuration of future hromadas these councils are to enter despite the fact that the current draft of the perspective plan envisages the configuration earlier supported by these village councils.

Vyacheslav Nehoda, Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, and Serhiy Osachuk, the head of the Chernivtsi oblast state administration, met hromada representatives.

After the meeting Vyacheslav Nehoda claimed that in the near future these hromadas would negotiate with the Chernivtsi oblast state administration again to find a compromise decision.

The Deputy Minister expressed his hope for the final decision to be made.
