Additional enrollment for the third training “Women-Leaders of Local Self-Government” announced!

The Swiss-Ukrainian project “Decentralisation Support in Ukraine” (DESPRO), in partnership with the Association of Amalgamated Hromadas, announces an additional enrollment for the third training “Women-Leaders of Local Self-Government”!

The training is oriented towards the needs of local self-government representatives and is aimed at forming an effective network of female leaders of amalgamated hromadas. The main purpose of the training is to strengthen the role of women in territorial hromadas, enhance their professional knowledge of the reform, as well as leadership skills through mastering effective communication techniques, teamwork, negotiation practices, with particular emphasis on the specifics of local self-government work. The training will be held in November 2019 in Kyiv.

The DESPRO Project selects active local self-government leaders from AHs for the training and invites them to participate in an essay competition on the topic:

Why is Gender Equality Important in Local Self-Government?

The DESPRO Project encourages the author to describe in a journalistic style her position on gender equality, opportunities and challenges of female leadershipin hromadas, and substantiate this with examples from her own life.

The deadline for submitting an essay is 13 October 2019, 23:59.
