Small Tour for Big Change – Pilot educational project for AHs launched

The Embassy of Sweden in Ukraine, together with the NGO MINZMIN, the Alphabet of Reforms team and with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme, launches a pilot educational project for small residents of Ukrainian amalgamated hromadas and their parents in September 2019.

The reform process in Ukraine is quite complex and multifaceted, sometimes even for adults it is difficult to understand what is happening in the country. And they hardly talk about reforms and important changes with their children. The purpose of the project is to tell kids and their parents about reforms and current changes in plain language and in a playful manner, as well as to encourage the hromada residents, even the smallest ones, to become part of such changes.

As part of the project, the team will deliver one hundred Small Kits for Big Change to children’s corners of the new Administrative Service Centres established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme, as well as will visit several hromadas to present educational materials for children and their parents – namely the “Alphabet of Reforms” and a “Small Kit for Big Change”. They explain in a comprehensible way the essence of the current changes and reforms in Ukraine, show, for instance, the work of the decentralisation reform, or teach how to sort waste properly.

During the events, hromada residents will learn about important changes and reforms, play games, pass quests and quizzes. The pilot phase of the project will continue in September-October 2019.

If your hromada wishes to join the project and host an interesting and useful reform event in Ukraine at your ASC (school, city hall, etc.), please contact us via e-mail team.minzmin@gmail.com or phone +380637101539.
