To address the concerns of people who predicted the closure of outpatient clinics and rural health posts in villages, participants of the DESPRO project and the “Decentralisation” portal visited one of the “closed” village outpatient clinics located in an amalgamated hromada. Indeed, decentralisation has eliminated rural healthcare that could only offer to buy a bottle of brilliant green or to receive assistance from a tired village doctor. Instead of that, local residents have received a modern and fully equipped outpatient clinic run by family doctors who do not claim to be underpaid.
