The AH is popularising the famous Drevlyan history, interesting sights, developed a tourist route and is ready to help investors. During the last year, experts of the Zhytomyr Local Government Development Centre of the U-LEAD with Europe Programne helped to prepare the development strategy for the Ovrutska AH.

“In addition to economic development, investment attraction and infrastructure development, the Ovrutska AH identified tourism as a key priority until 2027. This is the only hromada in the oblast, which focuses on tourism in its strategy. The factors contributing to this goal include historical, cultural and religious potential of AH and specialists aware of what and how to do it. Last year, the AH representatives took an active part in the tourism-related seminars, trainings and study trips conducted by us, and have a ready-made tourist route, as well as plans for the development of another joint route with other AHs within the framework of an intermunicipal cooperation,” noted Heorhii Fedoruk, regional development adviser of the Zhytomyr LGDC.
