According to the results of the monitoring of the socio-economic development of regions in 2018 announced by MinRegion, the best indicators are presented in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Rivne, Vinnytsia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, as informed by Hennadii Zubko, Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine, on his Facebook page.

The Mykolayiv, Odesa, Chernihiv, Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts have the lowest indicators.

The ranking assessment of socio-economic development of regions was launched in 2015. Based on these statistics, oblasts are evaluated quarterly by 27 indicators in 6 directions and annually by 64 indicators in 12 directions. Such an assessment is an element of a new system for monitoring the implementation of the state regional policy and determining the dynamics of change. Ranking indicators show managerial decisions’ effectiveness at the central and local levels.
