Inclusive and resource centre opened in Tetiyivska AH

The Tetiyivska amalgamated hromada opened an Inclusive and Resource Centre (IRC), where the experts will provide assistance to more than 80 children with special educational needs.

"We provide services for children with special educational needs, who live in our hromada. As of 1 May 2019, we have 84 children registered, but have already started receiving applications since children need to undergo re-examination for a new academic year, and this is about 50 children. Most of our children with special educational needs have speech impairment, but there are also kids with musculoskeletal disorders, autistic disorders, and other diagnoses. Our main task is to examine a child with special educational needs and ensure his/her right to education – in fact, to give instructions to school teachers to follow while working with this child. We currently have two practicing psychologists, two speech therapists, and defectologists,” said Yulia Sekeresh, director of the Inclusion and Resource Centre, in an interview to Ukrinform.
