Local hromadas of the Chernivtsi Oblast shared their experience of their territory promotion with colleagues from the Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolayiv Oblasts.
The event was initiated by the Chernivtsi Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion.
The traditional Bukovyna Malanka festival, visited by guests from the south-eastern regions of the country, is one of the territory promotion methods. Hundreds of people dressed in different characters walked around the city square, singing and dancing. The guests of the festival were impressed by the huge Indian elephant and the symbol of 2019 – a giant boar.

The representatives of three oblasts were briefed about decentraliation processes in the Chernivtsi Oblast and discussed the most successful implementation of local development projects. Oleksiy Hrushko, regional development adviser of the Chernivtsi LGDC, presented the already formed development strategies of Bukovyna hromadas.

Tetyana Tatarchuk, Director of the Chernivtsi LGDC, believes that each hromada should look for its highlights to attract tourists and potential investors.
