Ivan Rubskyi, head of the Bashtanska amalgamated hromada, spoke about the biggest challenges of his work, as well as differences between the positions of an AH head and the head of the RSA.

Ivan Rubskyi is a unique hromada head. He worked as the first deputy head of the Bashtanka Rayon State Administration for more than 11 years, was the rayon head for another six years, the mayor – for one year, and has been the head of the Bashtanska AH for two years so far. Mr. Rubskyi admits that he still often thinks within the rayon scale and cannot always remember what exactly he did after hromada amalgamation, and prior to it. During a working trip to the Mykolayiv Oblast, decentralisation.gov.ua had a fairly frank conversation with Ivan Rubskyi.
