On Monday, 10 December, Yaroslav Halas, acting head of the Zakarpattia Oblast State Administration, met with Martin Sajdik, special representative of the OSCE head in Ukraine and in the trilateral contact group, who made a working visit to the Zakarpattia Oblast.

It was not the first visit to Zakarpattia for Mr. Sajdik, so he took this opportunity to reiterate how much he admires the region that has so many unique features. This time, the OSCE representative was especially keen to learn about the progress of the local decentralisation process and the overall trends in the region’s development.
