COMPETITION for amalgamated hromadas on implementation of participatory model of strategic planning
The Foundation in Support of Local Democracy (Poland) announces a competition for the selection of amalgamated hromadas to participate in the project “Support to the Local Self-Government Reform – Introduction of a Participatory Model of Strategic Planning in Hromadas of North-Central and Western Ukraine”, which is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland.
Rural, settlement and urban amalgamated hromadas, located in the Kyiv, Lviv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv Oblasts, are invited to participate in the competition.
Within the framework of the competition, we expect to select 20 AHs (4 hromadas in each oblast).
The aim of the project is to strengthen the capacity of local authorities and NGOs in the area of strategic planning using the successful practices of local self-government in Poland. The project will be implemented in 2018-2019 and will include regional strategic planning forums, community advisory and training activities for the creation of hromadas’ Development Strategies, study visits of the representatives of Ukrainian hromadas to Poland, and an all-Ukrainian conference.
Requirements to competition participants:
- To participate in the competition it is necessary to submit a filled-in application form for participation by 6 July 2018 inclusive (till 6 pm).
- Applications are accepted only from hromadas that do not have previous experience of cooperation with other programmes on strategy preparation, in particular U-LEAD and DOBRE.
- Applications are accepted exclusively by e-mail to the address: igor@dialog.lviv.ua with APPLICATION_HROMADA_OBLAST as a subject matter.
The results of the competition will be announced by e-mail to the address indicated in the application form by 12 July 2018.
