In the early days of summer, several events gathered adults and children of the Krynychanska amalgamated hromada, located in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, in the local park named after Taras Shevchenko. In the cool shade of trees, there were various locations of the festival called “SMILEFEST”, in which nine children’s teams from the Oblast’s AHs participated. Before the fest opening, there was a race “Children of the Krynychanska AH for a healthy and active lifestyle” launched on the Children's Day in the hromada last year. The participants, namely more than 60 children, ran for 2 kilometers.
The events of the hromada coincided with the anniversary of the Dnipropetrovsk Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion. The LGDC became an ideological inspiration for the hromada amalgamation and the festival organisation, and it also organised a press tour “SMILEFEST” to the Krynychanska AH.
