“Local Governments Unite for Welfare and Peace”: the International Marathon will be continued on April 7.

The International Marathon “Local Governments Unite for Welfare and Peace” continues.

On April 7, a dialogue will take place between representatives of local government (including a number of “sister” municipalities) from Canada, Israel, Mexico, USA and leaders of local governments of Ukraine. Foreign media are also invited to the dialogue.

Working languages: English, Hebrew, Spanish and Ukrainian (simultaneous interpretation).

This will be the fifth marathon of the series. Previous events took place on March 18, 22, 29  and March 31, with the participation of representatives of local governments from over 30 countries: Poland, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Slovakia, Germany, the UK, France, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Croatia, Italy, Greece, Slovenia, Spain, and other Southern European countries.

Moderator is Mr. Andrii KULYKOV, journalist.

The aim: to show the world the true face of the war waged by Russia against Ukraine and to strengthen the partnership between Ukrainian municipalities and foreign partners.

The Marathon is initiated by the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.

Partners are the Council of Europe Programme “Enhancing Decentralization and Public Administration Reform in Ukraine,” USAID Economic Resilience Activity, Swiss-Ukrainian project «Decentralization for Improved Democratic Education» (DECIDE), the Association of Ukrainian Cities, and the Association of Amalgamated Communities, Decentralization Portal.
