Six priority tasks have been defined for the decentralization reform regulatory. It was claimed by the Minister of the Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov during the meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities and the National Council of Reforms. The event was opened by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi. It involved Prime-Minister Denys Shmyhal, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko, representatives of local and regional authorities.

«A further reform of the local self-government demands constitutional amendments. We have defined six major tasks of reforming the local self-government and territorial arrangement of power within the Constitution. After the amendments to the Constitution a new phase of law making will start for the purpose of implementing our legislation according to the European Charter of Local Self-Government», — said Oleksiy Chernyshov.
