The Krasnopilska amalgamated hromada was established on 30 April 2017. The new hromada united almost all villages in the Krasnopillya rayon (2 settlement and 5 village councils covering 4 settlements and 24 villages). Its territory covers 555 sq. km., the total number of residents is equal to almost 17,000 persons. Just to compare: the total population of the Krasnopillya rayon is 28,000 persons. The special feature of this AH is a long border with the Russian Federation.

"The decentralisation reform had to be carried out in our country 27 years ago. Then, probably, there would be no problems in the country that we have today," said Yuriy Yaremchuk, chairman of the Krasnopilska rural AH.
