Within the state and hromadas’ partnership 4898 infrastructure projects were implemented during 2015-2017, noted Hennadii Zubko, Vice Prime Minister – Minister for Regional Development, in the framework of the concluding press conference.
“These are road infrastructure objects, kindergartens and schools, sports grounds and cultural facilities,” he said.
Mr Zubko emphasised the change in the methodology of evaluation and monitoring of regions. “We turn to two key areas – human development and regional competitiveness indices. Formation of a comfortable living space in hromadas is an investment in their growth,” the official said.
According to Vadym Hayev, head of the first Ukrainian AH in Novopskov, an important task of the reform is not only to provide comfort conditions in schools or healthcare institutions, but to ensure high-quality delivery of educational and healthcare services. “For this purpose, we introduce foreign language learning and provide access to multimedia technologies in education,” he emphasised.
