Ukravtodor made list of roads to be built and repaired in 2018

In 2018, the State Agency of Motor Roads of Ukraine plans to carry out repairs of the main corridors of state importance according to the route principle, within the framework of the concept of the State Target Economic Programme for the development of public roads over a 5-year period, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on 11 January.

Slavomir Novak, Head of the State Agency of Motor Roads of Ukraine, noted: “The main task I have set to the road services is to proceed with all the work started in 2017 on the basis of the route principle. We have to show that the state uses public funds and continues ongoing projects efficiently and wisely.”

According to the Road Repair Programme, in 2018 Ukravtodor will continue its work on the main corridors: GO Highway, М-03, М-05, М-01, Н-08, Н-31.

Particular attention will be paid to the roads in the east of the country: P-46 Kharkiv – Okhtyrka, M-03 Kharkiv – Slovyansk – Kramatorsk, P-07 Chuguyiv – Milove.

In the south of the country repairs  will be carried out on the following road sections: M-15 Odesa – Reni (with bypassing the town of Reni), H-14 Kropyvnytskyi – Mykolayiv, H-11 Dnipro - Kryvyi Rih - Mykolayiv, renovation of the bridge across the Hadzhybey estuary (M-05 road) is planned.

In western Ukraine, repairs will be carried out on the sections of the following roads: H-22 Rivne – Lutsk – Ustylug, M-21 Zhytomyr – Vinnytsya, H-10 Ivano-Frankivsk – Stryi, N-03 Zhytomyr – Khmelnytskyi – Chernivtsi. It is also planned to repair the shortest route from Mukacheve to Chop on M-24 / M-25 road.

At the expense of the international financial organisations, the reconstruction of the Northern Bypass of Zhytomyr and renovation of the GO Highway in the Khmelnytskyi Oblast will commence, as well as reconstruction of M-03 on the Lubny – Poltava section will continue.

It is worth reminding that from 1 January, within the frames of roads decentralisation, 123.1 thousand km of local roads are transferred to the responsibility of local authorities.

Currently Ukravtodor is responsible for almost 47 thousand km of international and national roads.
