In the context of the Initiative “Diversity Management for Economic Development”, the European Centre for Minority Issues (ECMI) and the U-LEAD with Europe Programme are seeking applications from the Chernivtsi, Odesa and Zakarpattia Oblasts to participate in intensive project generation workshops. The workshops will aim at turning ideas into solid project proposal aimed at the socio-economic development of communities with diverse ethnic population.
The workshops are continuing the series of capacity development events for the representatives of local self-government (LSG) & state authorities, as well as NGO representatives aimed at the support to the voluntary amalgamation process and already established communities where national minorities live compactly.
Successful applicants will get an opportunity to receive support in developing their project ideas via intense training, mentoring and exchange with the peers from Ukraine and EU.

Terms of the Call
If your organisation has an interesting project idea that addresses needs of your community and at the same time contributes to bringing people from various backgrounds together, at whatever stage of preparation, please fill in and submit the form before 22.04.2019 (COB). Please note the following conditions:
· Project ideas may be submitted by LSG authorities or bodies established by them, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs);
· They must contribute to economic development at the local level;
· They must involve minority populations in the oblast(s) concerned;
· They must benefit and be implemented in one or more of the 3 oblasts indicated above;
· Organisations invited to participate in the workshop must ensure a team of no fewer than 2 and not more than 3 people.
Selection of the participants
Once project ideas are submitted, they will be screened against the conditions listed above. If the conditions are met, the organisation will be contacted for supplementary and/or missing information, after which a decision will be taken on whether (or not) it will be invited to the workshop. Project ideas will be assessed on a rolling basis, while organisations will be invited to take up the limited workshop spaces following the “first come, first serve” principle; project promoters are therefore encouraged to send in their project ideas as soon as possible, and not to wait until shortly before the submission deadline.
